With RateBoard you can create and distribute various rate plans, like early booking rate, non-ref, half board and others.

Note

Whether you will be able to create and send multiple rates or not, will depend on your PMS/CM. If available, the “Rate Plans” option will be showing in your “Settings” menu. If you still have any doubt, contact your Revenue Manager.

How to create multiple rate plans

In the Rate Plan page you will be able to create multiple rate plans that you can apply to your calendar.

  1. In the Rate Plans page click on + ADD.

  2. This will open a pop up window, where you can enter the rate plan details.

  • Rate Plan: add a unique name;

  • Derived from: choose from which rate plans this new one will derive from, it could be the Base Rate or any other rate plan you created before.

  • Derivation type

    • Unit: apply per unit if the rate plan will have as base the room price. E.g. You created an EARLY BOOKING rate plan and the discount is 10% on the daily rate per room.

    • Person: apply per person if the rate plan will have as base the price per person. E.g. You created a rate plan HALF BOARD, and the rule is that each guest pays 50€ more on the base rate (breakfast rate).

  • Room categories: here you will define the actual price rule for your new plan based on the categories you defined in your inventory. Set how the new rate should derive from the selected one.

    • Example 1: You created an EARLY BOOKING rate plan and the discount is 10% on the daily rate per room. In this case, you will add -10% for each room category, based on unit.

    • Example 2: You created a rate plan HALF BOARD, and the rule is that each guest pays 50€ more on the base rate. In this case, you will add 50€ for each room category, based on person.

3. Once you are done, click OK to save.

4. Afterwards, you should turn the plans on and off using the Interface Configuration ⬇️ and send it to your PMS and / or Channel Manager on the respective Manage tab.

Later, you can edit the rate plans clicking on the ⚙️ (engine) button or delete it clicking on the 🗑 (bin) button.

How to enable the rate plans

When your rate plans have been set up as desired, they must be activated under "Settings" → "Interface configuration".

For the rates to be allocated correctly in the corresponding system, the established rate plan of the PMS or CM for the new rate must be set up using the rate plan code and meal type.

Once you activated it, you can manage it for individual days using the respective Manage tab.

Note

IMPORTANT! In order for the new rate plan to be applied, the rates need to be sent to the system - all rates from the manage calendar must be sent again. You can do that by selecting all days for each month and adjust the price by 0 +/- €, once you SAVE and APPLY the changes, the rates will be resent.
