Let's take a look together at the multiple information displayed in the Dashboard page, It 's nice is good to know that the KPIs displayed are standard for all RateBoard accounts , and therefore can't cannot be customized.

Yesterday summary

  • Revenue

  • Occupancy

  • ADR (Average Daily Rate): Average rate of all sold rooms.

    • How to calculate it: (Total room revenue) / (Number of all sold rooms)

  • RevPAR (Revenue per available room): This KPI combines occupancy and ADR to see how the hotel was performing.

    • How to calculate it: (total room revenue) / (total number of rooms) or
      (ADR) x (occupancy in %)

  • PickUp room nightnights: How many rooms were booked in the selected period of time.

  • PickUp Revenue: Revenue of the rooms booked in the selected period of time.

PickUp summary

The information about pick-up room night nights and pick-up revenue are shown for the last seven days.

  • PickUp room nightnights: How many rooms were booked on the selected period of timein the last seven days.

  • PickUp Revenue: Revenue of the rooms booked on the selected period of timein the last seven days.

The KPIs card also compares the current values with same time last year, you can find it in two colors:

  • Red: this year's result is worse lower than last yearyear’s.

  • Green: this year's result is better than last year.

The KPIs card also compares the current values with same time last year, you can find it in two colors:

  • Red: this year's result is worse than last year.

  • Green: this year's result is better than last year.

The KPIs card also compares the current values with same time last year, you can find it in two colors:

These two values give us a very clear idea if the hotel performance is ahead or behind the last year's one, same time.

On dashboard, we also display two a few graphs.
The first shows This one shows and compares the revenue of the last 30 days for the current year (blue line) and the previous year (grey lane)and same time last year. The average difference to last year gives you a better idea whether the current year is better or worse than the last.

  • Red: this year's result is lower than last year’s.

  • Green: this year's result is better than last year’s.

By scrolling with the mouse along the graph curves, you can visualize the absolute values of the single days and can easily check for which days you got an a higher or lower revenue and which a lower.

Market demand

The second graph shows a comparison between your hotel occupancy and the market demand for the next 30 days.
The market demand is actually a Forecast provided by our partner OTA Insight, that is also in charge for shopping your competitor's rates from Booking.com.

Demand is calculated on a market level, this is the city or region the your property is located in. Demand percentage is based on the available hotels, rooms, rate types and restrictions hotels in this are area may be applying. All this based on This information comes from 3, 4 & 5-star hotels, not just your comp-set.

Demand will be higher if hotels are using LOS restrictions or if availability is low.
Similarly, Demand will be lower when there is abundant availability or rates have a significant dropdown.

Through this graph it is very simple to check on which days your hotel responds well or very well to market stimulus , and on which, instead, or if there is still market space to be gained.In the example 1. in the picture, the market

EXAMPLE

  1. Your occupancy is following the trend of the market Demand, this is a good sign.

  2. Market Demand is increasing while your occupancy is having a dropdown. In this case, you should check your rates.
