Configuration of the Autopilot

  1. Login to your Rateboard account and open the Manage-Calendar (1) > click on the little Autopilot cogwheel on the right hand side of your screen (2).

Autopilot settings

You can find the Autopilot in the Manage page, where you can configure it and activate for the days you want to automatically accept and publish the rates recommended.

Before activating it, you need to set the option to what fits your strategy. Open the autopilot settings by clicking on the ⚙️ icon, on the top right side of the rates calendar.

In the autopilot settings, you can define:

  • Status
    colourRed

    Period of time: the period you would like to

  • send the rates automatically.

    • e.g. “Only push rates for days between 90 and 150 days before arrival date”, that means 90 to 150 days from current day. So if on 01.03 we set this rules, the autopilot would be applied from 01.06 to 01.08.

Activate the autopilot:

First choose the category  (1) and then activate the switch (3)

The “robot icon” next to the category shows whether the autopilot is activated for this specific category or not:

blue robot (1) = autopilot is activated

grey robot (2) = autopilot is not activated

After saving the settings, you still need to turn the autopilot on manually.

Activating the autopilot for room categories

After going to the autopilot settings, you can switch it on or off for each room category. Select the room category and then click on the autopilot switch.

For each room category, you will also be able to see a robot icon close to the category name.

  • Robot is blue: autopilot is active.

  • Robot is grey: autopilot is not active.

Once you turn the autopilot on,the rates will be regularly sent to your PMS/CM and you will not be able to manually edit rates for the days which the autopilot is applied.

Deactivating the autopilot for specific days

For days which the autopilot is active, you are not able to send rates manually.

Freeze Rates

You have the option to deactivate the autopilot for certain days, i.e. fixing the rate. You can still manually send rates to your PMS / CM for these days.
Caution! The rates are always fixed for the selected room category only.

Select one or multiple days in the manage calendar

You can identify days with fixed rates by the red robot icon

, where you can click on FIX RATES. Once you do that, the autopilot will be deactivated for the selected days, and you will be able to change the rates manually.

You can check if the autopilot is on or off for a specific day looking at the robot at the bottom of the card.

  • Red: autopilot is not active, rates are fixed.

  • Blue: autopilot is active, rates are unfixed.

Sending Rates - Frequency

The rates are being sent every day, depending on the PMS, between 11 pm and 6 am

  •   additionally, each time you are changing the rate suggestions manually you trigger the autopilot and all rates will be sent again

Configuration

period for the autopilot

  • the period is starting with the day of arrival > means, the autopilot ist calculating always for the current day until the defined maximum period of time

  • Rates can be sent for +399 days automatically by the autopilot

all categories

  • if this option is ticked, all the configuration will be applied to all our categories

  • doing this, the autopilot is NOT activated for all categories

  • if a new category will be implemented in future, after activating the autopilot, the configuration for this new one has to be done manually
