With RateBoard you can create and distribute several rate plans, like early booking rate, non-ref, half board and others.

Whether you will be able to create and send multiple rates or not, will depend on your PMS/CM. If available, the “Rate Plans” option will be showing in on your “Settings” menu. If you still have any doubt, contact your Revenue Manager. |
How to create multiple rate plans

Afterwards, a window opens in which the rate is created. First, you must enter the name here and determine from which rate the new rate plan should be derived. This is usually the "base" rate, which is the default rate / daily rate set in RateBoard.

Rate Plan page you will be able to create multiple rate plans that you can apply to your calendar.
In the Rate Plans page click on
+ ADD
.This will open a pop up window, where you can enter the rate plan details.
Rate Plan: add a unique name;
Derived from: choose from which rate plans this new one will derive from, it could be the Base Rate or any other rate plan you created before.
Derivation type
Unit: apply per unit if the rate plan will have as base the room price. E.g. You created an EARLY BOOKING rate plan and the discount is 10% on the daily rate per room.
Person: apply per person if the rate plan will have as base the price per person. E.g. You created a rate plan HALF BOARD, and the rule is that

each guest pays 50€ more on the base rate (breakfast rate)

Room categories: here you will define the actual price rule for your new plan based on the categories you defined on your inventory. Set how the new rate should derive from the selected one.
Example 1: You created an EARLY BOOKING rate plan and the discount is 10% on the daily rate per room

The next step is to set how the new rate should behave at the old rate (in this case base rate). In the example above, the early booking rate has a discount of 10% on the daily rate. Each time a rate update is sent by RateBoard, the early booker rate of -10% will be sent based on the daily rate.

IMPORTANT! The displayed room categories always refer to parent categories in RateBoard (see Inventory Management) and apply to all categories within the type.
If a new rate has been created, it can later be edited using the "Change / Delete" icons.
How to enable multiple rate plans

Example 2: You created a rate plan HALF BOARD, and the rule is that each guest pays 50€ more on the base rate. In this case, you will add 50€ for each room category, based on person.
3. Once you are done, click OK
to save.
4. After, you can turn the plans on and off using the Interface Configuration or on the respective Manage tab.
How to enable the rate plans
When your rate plans have been set up as desired, they must be activated under "Settings"

Multiple RatePlans in the implementation
The operative operation of the Rate Plan is done via the "Manage". For this, the overview of the "Rate Plans" is selected on the right side.
For further information on the function "Manage" read the article here.
Here, the rate can be opened or closed via the door icon. In addition, the up or downs can be adjusted individually for each day (for example, changing the discount to -5%). If the changes have been made, they must be saved and released.
