Configuration

In the inventory configuration you can set the primary rooms, rooms category and each room status.

  • Room category: your rooms will be sent by your PMS system, but inside RateBoard you can categorize them by room category → STANDARD , SUPERIOR, SUITE, BUDGET, SINGLE, FAMILY or APARTMENT, for a better overview and competitors comparison.

  • Primary room: you can only have one primary room per for each room category, this room will contain the base rate, from which the regular rooms will derivate from. You can define the primary room by switching the option for a specif room.

  • Status: you have 3 option for each room.

    • Active: the room is active, and the data is being used by the algorithm.

    • Archived: the room is deactivated, but the data will still be part of the counts in the analysis tool Pick-up and Budget.

    • Excluded: the room is deactivated, and the data will not be part of the counts in the analysis tool Pick-up and Budget.

Room type x Room category

  • Room category: it's a group of room types, for one room category you can have multiple room types. The categories are pre-defined by RateBoard.

    • STANDARD , SUPERIOR, SUITE, BUDGET, SINGLE, FAMILY or APARTMENT

  • Room type: it's a specific room in your hotel, for each room type you can have only one room category. The room type names will depend on your PMS server.

    • Primary room type: you can only have one primary room per for each room category, this room will contain the base rate, from which the regular rooms will derivate from.

    • Other room types: you can have multiple regular rooms for each room category, these rooms will have their prices derived from the primary room, adjusted by a percentage or value.

Capacity

Here you can specify the actual number of your rooms divided by room types. You can also manage changes in the amount of room, e.g. you closed some of your rooms for renovation.

How to change capacity

  1. Click on the ADD button and insert the date from when the change will start. After that, a new room count will appear.

  2. Insert the updated amount.

  3. Click SAVE.

  4. Please, also remember to add the date from when the count will be back to be normal, repeating the procedure ADD...
